10 miles northeast of city. Ride time – 25 mins. 
Good airport facilities including duty-free shops, restaurant, post office, bank & shops. 
Coaches to the city meet all arrivals. Bus runs from dusk to dawn every 30 mins. Use hotel shuttles rather than taxis or hotel-provided vehicles. 

Lahore (LHE)
5 miles southeast of city. Ride time – 20 mins. 
Airport facilities include car rental, bank, restaurant & shops. Coach every 20 mins to city. Buses every 10 mins. 

Islamabad (ISB) (International)
9 miles east of city. Ride time – 20 mins.
Full duty-free facilities. Coach & taxi services to city available. 

Peshawar (PEW)
2.5 miles from city. Ride time – 10 mins. Full bus & taxi services to city available. 

Departure tax:
PRs800 for passengers travelling first class, PRs600 for club class & PRs400 for economy class. Transit passengers & children under 2 exempt. 

Import/availability of liquor:
Not allowed to bring  liquor from any country. If in possession of some liquor brought by mistake or with  intention of taking it out, declare to Customs officers:  it will be detained against receipt & returned on exit.
Resident foreign tourists (non-Muslims) can, however, purchase liquor from hotels authorised to sell liquor to foreigners (non-Muslims) against permit. Other
foreign tourists (non-Muslims) willing to buy liquor from authorised hotels have to obtain permit from Excise & Taxation Department of respective area.
